Ancestors Gathering

Come gather at Groundswell as we end the Harvest season, and greet the coming winter.

The Veil between worlds thins, and our Ancestors call out, but they do not call in grief. They call in celebration of the promise of rebirth.  As the Veil thins, the Witches and the Fae beings, the Quiet Wise Ones and the Wyld Kin, The Queerdos and all who know the in between can hear these greetings from the Underworld, and the afterlife becomes known. Our Ancestors bring a promise, and it is one we will celebrate!

With this Gathering, we complete a circle. We come ready to put the Land to bed for the coming dark, to set down the things we need not carry through the lean time. Bring your hurt from this year. Bring your grief, your sadness or regret. We start the circle by lying these down among the fallen leaves. As the Veil thins, the Ancestors call, and our joy at hearing them, of knowing their presence, rouses us to celebration. We celebrate with them that we are all still kin, and we celebrate with each other for the same reason. We will all gather in the sun again after this winter time, because we are kin, and not even the Veil keeps us apart for long. Come. Gather.

Ancestors week is a balance of heart space, reverence for our beloved dead, connection with others, and nurturing in nature. Programming includes a fireside heart circle, mask4mask mask making, Masquerade Ball, Knock ‘Em Dead Talent Show, and organized and impromptu ritual. This gathering runs Thursday October 31-Sunday November 3.

We gather in connection, ritual, celebration, and magic.
